Dear friend, This year, Pride feels a bit different. There are a record number of anti-LGBTQ+ bills moving through Republican-controlled state legislatures — including bills to separate trans kids from their affirming parents, deny trans people gender-affirming care, ban drag, and prevent conversations about LGBTQ+ people and stories in schools. Despite all these discriminatory measures, Pride remains a time to celebrate the progress we've made, amplify queer stories, and recommit ourselves to the fight for safety and justice for our LGBTQ+ neighbors. I am so grateful for the bravery and determination of the leaders who have brought us this far — and I am looking to them as we continue this work. I hope you'll join me in this fight.
