Happy Better Transport Week  !

How exciting to be beginning a week of celebrating sustainable transport. Trains and trams, buses and coaches, walking, cycling and shared transport really are the way forward - this week, let's shout it from the rooftops! 

Wherever you are in the country, there are lots of ways you can get involved. In fact, there are too many to tell you about here - if you want the full details, head to the Better Transport Week page on our website. I've chosen six of the most exciting:

Love your station

TODAY is Rail Day - time to show some love to your local rail station. Tell us what your station means to you by sending a comment, a photo, an artwork or even a poem and you could win a £100 rail voucher.

Thank your bus driver

Tomorrow is Bus and Coach Day, but you can get involved RIGHT NOW! We're collecting messages of thanks for brilliant bus drivers, who do a vital job of connecting communities, busting loneliness and reducing traffic. Send a message thanking bus drivers everywhere, or telling us about a driver who has made your day brighter.

Ride to rail

On Wednesday, your challenge is to cycle to any local rail station. There are Lime helmets up for grabs, but most of all it's a chance to celebrate joined-up transport while enjoying a ride in the sunshine... hopefully! Plan your trip and invite your friends!

Gorgeous gardens

Any time from now, share a photo of a garden or green space that you've visited by sustainable transport and you could win a family ticket to the RHS Garden of your choice. Find out about this and more lovely leisure travel.
