John,
We’re a week into June, and I need to check in with you.
Last week I told you that we needed to raise $80,000 in June. That means we need to raise roughly $20,000 per week to stay on track, and we’re already falling behind.
I know that seems like a lot of money, and 2024 seems far away. But here’s the thing: our mission to build Black political power is not waiting until 2024 and does not end with candidates at the top of the ticket.
We’re getting involved in critical down-ballot races across the country — from state legislatures to mayors to city councils and even school boards, we’re putting in the work to elect Black candidates for local offices because our community deserves representation for the people, by the people.
So yes, John. This is a MASSIVE goal. But this is what it takes to invest early, invest intelligently, and ensure Black Democrats across the country can win.
Will you help our team make a difference in local races across the country by chipping in $10 right now?
Local offices make decisions that heavily affect our daily lives, and when those positions are filled with politicians that don’t belong to the communities they’re representing, our government fails its people.
That’s why we’ve put local races at the forefront of our work this year, endorsing candidates all across the country — from Auon’tai Anderson for Denver (CO) School Board, to Makya Little for House of Delegates (VA-19) to Kesha Hodge Washington for Phoenix (AZ) City Council. Supporting our endorsed candidates down-ballot in 2023 is critical for our work.
Focusing on local elections is KEY to addressing the underrepresentation of the Black community in elected offices. Will you help us support our endorsed candidates across the country by donating $10 today?
If you've stored your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will be processed immediately.

None of this is possible without your support, John.
