After the fall of Roe v. Wade last summer, abortion bans came down all across the country. Now, 12 states have active abortion bans on the books.
[[U.S. MAP shows all the states where abortion is banned]]

In November 2022, 5 states had abortion-related questions on the ballot — including 2 backed by Fairness Project. Each and every one of these campaigns won and safeguarded abortion in their states for good.
[[U.S. MAP shows all the states where abortion is protected + emphasizes California, Vermont, Michigan, Kentucky, Montana]]

NOW → 10 states remain where we could use ballot measures to restore access to abortion. Some even, are states where a voter-driven ballot measure could cancel out an active abortion ban!
[[U.S. MAP highlighting Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma and South Dakota.]]

BUT, some anti-abortion extremists are coming after ballot measures themselves as a way to stop a vote on abortion protections from ever reaching the ballot:
[[Newspaper clipping: The Columbus Dispatch: Is August election about abortion? Secretary of State Frank LaRose says '100%' When Secretary of State Frank LaRose first unveiled a plan to make it harder to amend Ohio's Constitution, he said it was bigger than any one issue. Republicans have since made it clear the proposal is aimed squarely at hampering a ballot initiative to enshrine abortion access in Ohio.]]

We’re fighting back against these attacks AND powering our next slate of campaigns to preserve access to abortion. Will you rush a donation to power our work?
