You sent me to Washington to take on the billionaire CEOs and stand up for
the people — especially marginalized and poor communities like the one I’m
from.

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about my responsibility to leave Congress
better than I found it. To make sure that just because I’m the first Black
woman to represent Pennsylvania in Congress, I don't remain the only one.

For however long I have the privilege of serving PA-12, I want to work to
push forward our vision for racial, environmental, and economic justice —
and make Congress a better place for the next group of organizers and
activists to serve here. That's where you come in,

Congress. I'm working to bring these issues to the forefront of our agenda
