Hello, True Texans!
Have you seen the line-up of speakers we have this month??? Dang! Sometimes we even impress ME! If you missed the meetings last week with great topics like "Weaponizing The DOJ" and the incredible must-see movie "Died Suddenly", make sure you jump in THIS week for more great events covering TEXIT, the Chinese Infiltration Into Texas (yikes!), Defeating The Dirty Books, a legislative update with favorite Michael Quinn Sullivan of Scorecard, and much more. And then it continues the week after that! Wow!!! It is astounding the quality events we are offering in June!
Do. Not. Miss. It.
This is no time to grow weary, as I firmly believe we are here for such a time as this, and we need each other to accomplish our goals.
Candidate Filings!
Now that the legislative session is over, we're starting to see some announcements about who is challenging what seats in the March 2024 Primary. Here are a few we've heard about so far...
Speaker Dade Phelan has done such a disappointing job as speaker by moving Democrat priorities forward while ignoring Republican priorities that he's already got TWO challengers, and more are likely coming! For those worried about splitting the vote, don't be! That's a concern in the General Election, but not the Primary. If we can get Dade below 50% in the Primary, it forces a runoff election. The more candidates that enter the Primary, the wider the circle of those who will vote against Dade. It may interest you to know that one of the challengers to Dade is David Covey. The Coveys jumped right in when we launched TTP in the Beaumont Area and committed to 6 months on our leadership team. They played a big part in our success there!
Randan Steinhauser has announced she is running against Toni Anne Dashiell for National GOP Committeewoman. Fran and I interviewed her last week and were quite impressed with her fighting spirit.
Andy Hopper is running against Lynn Stuckey for State Rep. Andy ran last cycle and lost by only 91 votes. That's some good motivation to work super hard to move him to the W side! Andy is an ally who heads up Wise County Conservatives.
We've also had several express interest in running for local seats, which is awesome because that's how we build a farm team to take back our state!
Last Week In Pictures...
Our Brazos Valley friends gather weekly to brainstorm new ideas to grow the grassroots and become more effective. Wow!
Check out these twin fans! These boys made a wee poster to cheer on our softball team and would lead a cheer shouting out, "T - R - U - E - T - E - X - A - S!" We are raising 'em up right!
For our final game of the Spring softball season, Fred and I invited the team and fans over for a bonfire!
