John Republicans know that their extreme, anti-choice agenda is a losing message, especially with young people and with communities of color. But now, instead of trying to change their policies to appeal to voters, Texas Republicans want to change to rules so they can override the voters' voices:

Houston is the largest and most Democratic city in Texas — and it's also home to tens of thousands of Latinos. This unprecedented power grab would strip power away from local leaders to oversee Houston elections, and could even make it possible for state-level Republicans to overturn election results based on flimsy claims of voter fraud.
The best way to combat these extreme GOP tactics is by doubling down on our efforts to make our voices heard by registering and mobilizing more voters than ever before. It costs approximately $24 to reach one new voter, so your donation today can make a tangible impact by empowering our efforts in states like Texas. By next November, more than 4.1 million Latinos across the country will reach voting age, and more than 800 million of them live in Texas alone. These young people have the power to reshape the electorate and usher in a new generation of progressive leadership — but only if they vote.
Republicans have made it clear that they're willing to do whatever it takes to restrict access to the ballot box, so we need to do everything we can to drive massive voter turnout. Will you pitch in now to do your part? ([link removed])
