Dear friend, We are nearing the day when Missouri voters—and voters in Super Tuesday states—will go to the polls and select their preference in the presidential primary contest. But before you think about who to vote for, make sure you are registered to vote at all!
In Missouri, Wednesday, February 12 is the last day to register to vote in time for the primary on March 10 . Other states have different registration deadlines, so make sure to check with your Secretary of State’s office. You can check your voter registration status here: [link removed] [[link removed]]
...and one last thing. We need good people to run for office . I am known to regularly recruit, motivate, and encourage people I run into on the campaign trail to run for office. We need people dedicated to the idea of this country—that we are a work in progress, and that we work best when regular people come together to fight for our inclusive democracy.
It is not too late to think about running—for anything: local office, school board, state legislature, or even Congress! I would be glad to talk to you on the phone, or sit down and meet for coffee if you are in or around Missouri. If you feel the call to public service, or you are fed up and disappointed with the direction our country is heading, then we need you to run. [[link removed]]
That’s it! Thank you for your time and be sure to make your voice heard on Election Day!
Sincerely,Best,
