Johh — the challenges we are facing to secure abortion rights are real.
Diana has been working to protect reproductive rights her entire career. Her landmark legislation from when Diana served in the Colorado State House to protect patients' access to abortion clinics, "the bubble bill", has just been challenged again in court. This is despite the fact that the bubble bill already has been held up by the US Supreme Court.
Republicans are doing everything they can to push their dangerous agenda. If we're going to secure abortion rights in this country, winning in 2024 is going to be critical.
Donald Trump has already bragged about "killing" Roe v. Wade and said he will "get something done" on abortion. Ron DeSantis has also made it clear that he is more than ready to take his disgusting 6-week abortion ban in Florida nationwide.
But winning the White House is not enough. Kevin McCarthy and House Republicans passed a bill to criminalize abortion providers and are ready to pursue an all-out abortion ban. Their goal in 2024 is to expand their majority and continue attacking the reproductive rights of their constituents.
Diana has always believed that every person in this country should have the right to make their own decisions about healthcare, including abortion. And she's not alone.
Over 61% of Americans support broad access to abortion, but the GOP is more than ready to continue ignoring the will of the American people in 2024. It's clear they genuinely don't care about the health, well-being, or opinion of the American people.
As co-chair of the Pro-Choice Caucus, Diana is proud to continue leading the fight for reproductive rights and stand up to those pushing dangerous agendas. But she and the House Democrats need your help to win and protect reproductive rights in 2024.
