ABERCROMBIE’S PRIDE IS ALL-YEAR-LONG!
We are so excited to celebrate Pride with Abercrombie & Fitch and their customers this year. For Abercrombie, Pride won’t be stopping at the end of June because the brand, along with the LGBTQ community, will be celebrating Pride all year long.
The cast for Abercrombie’s 2023 Pride campaign enjoyed a celebratory and affirming experience throughout the photoshoot - a campaign which is now live! For part of the shoot, the Abercrombie team asked cast members what being “Proud Year-Round” meant to them, which led to some inspiring and heartfelt responses. Sicard Delva noted, “I think it's important to celebrate pride year-round because we exist year round, so it's great to know that you exist and you are appreciated and loved outside of just one month. To me, being proud year-round looks like checking in on my friends and family and people in my community, and making sure that they feel loved and appreciated as much as possible." The energy on Abercrombie’s Pride shoot was undeniable and truly engendered the meaning of the shared mission to support the LGBTQ community not only during the month of June, but 24/7/365.
Luke Wesley Pearson, another member of the cast, recalled that he had always dreamed of being a part of an Abercrombie campaign, and was so happy to be able to represent the LGBTQ community. “It's important to celebrate pride year-round because I am who I am 365 days a year,” Pearson said. “Being proud year-round and celebrating who I am means showing up as myself authentically and openly every day of the year and sharing my story wherever I can because I know how much visibility and representation means to me and to future generations."
This year’s gender-inclusive collection was created in celebration of all LGBTQ identities along with Trevor’s life-saving work. In support of Pride and our 13+ year partnership, Abercrombie is donating $400,000 this year to continue to support The Trevor Project’s work for LGBTQ youth.
