John,
The recent smoke and wildfires are an urgent reminder of the climate crisis we're facing. Fossil fuels drive the climate crisis, and the United States is the #1 oil and gas producer in the world — but it doesn’t have to be this way. That’s why we are building the people power to make big changes.
We're organizing the March to End Fossil Fuels, a massive demonstration in New York City this September coinciding with the United Nations Climate Ambition Summit. On Thursday, we're kicking off this action with a huge virtual event, where we'll be joined by actress and climate activist Jane Fonda. Sign up now to join the call!

Despite President Biden’s climate promises, he is a fossil fuel hypocrite. While he campaigned on a strong climate platform, Biden has rubber-stamped one new oil and gas project after another. He is doing exactly the opposite of what is needed for a livable future.
President Biden has the executive authority to stop approving fossil fuel projects right now and accelerate a just transition to clean energy — without Congress. It’s up to us to ensure that Biden is a climate leader, and not an enabler of Big Oil & Gas. At the March to End Fossil Fuels, we’ll demand President Biden lead the way off fossil fuels once and for all.
Join us at the launch call on Thursday to learn more and get involved!

This September, U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will host an historic global Climate Ambition Summit in New York City. This is an unprecedented call for global leaders to end the era of fossil fuels. If Biden wants the U.S. to have a legitimate place at this summit — and if he wants to avert the growing climate emergency — he must commit to stop approving all new oil and gas projects and launch a just transition to move us off fossil fuels.
In September, we will take action in New York City and across the country to demand that Biden take bold steps to end the era of fossil fuels. Join us on Thursday as we kick off this effort together!
