As the daughter of a World War II veteran and prisoner of war, standing up for our service members is personal. This week and every day, we remember their service and honor their courage.

Expanding access to generic medications makes everyone healthier.

Cost shouldn't be a barrier for families accessing medical care, especially when it comes to life-saving medications. Last year, 40% of Americans put off much-needed health care because of costs — that’s unacceptable. 

This week, I introduced bipartisan legislation to make lower-cost generic medications more accessible for Granite Staters. My bill would simplify the FDA’s generic drug approval process and allow patients to access more affordable, generic medications faster. 

I’m committed to making generic medications more accessible and affordable.

For decades, the Medicaid Inmate Exclusion, which strips justice-involved individuals of their Medicaid coverage and passes the costs on to New Hampshire communities, has fed into the cycle of addiction and incarceration across our country and created a massive financial burden. 

That’s why I was proud to reintroduce legislation to end this harmful policy and ensure that justice-involved individuals can receive the treatment and care they need without passing the cost off to local communities. Failing to provide health coverage to justice-involved individuals worsens long-term health outcomes and heightens their risks for severe illness and injury upon release.

Work visas like BridgeUSA enrich our state’s economic and cultural standing.

Seasonal workers fuel New Hampshire's economy and strengthen our cultural diversity.

This week, I introduced bipartisan legislation supporting critical visa programs like BridgeUSA to bring more foreign visitors, students, and workers to New Hampshire. Participants in these programs fill vital workforce needs, strengthen New Hampshire’s tourism industry and cultural diversity, and improve cultural understanding between participating countries.

I am proud to join with my colleagues from across the aisle to ensure we continue recognizing the benefits of programs like these.

I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Harper for a school project.

It was a delight to sit down with Christa McAuliffe School student Harper this week for a school project to discuss everything that makes New Hampshire such a great place to live and grow up.

We talked about growing up in Concord, our favorite places to play as kids, and what it's like working in Congress. We had a lot in common — including our love for White Park in Concord!
