Fox host and legal expert abandon Trump on air after indictment unsealed
The 37-count indictment released detailing Donald Trump's outrageous crimes was so bad that even a Fox News host and his legal bozo had to admit that the evidence presented was "extremely damning," which is going to be very hard for their viewers to hear... but come on, you can't get much more damning than a tape where Trump literally says "See, as president I could have declassified it...Now I can't, but this is still secret!"

Special Counsel Jack Smith breaks his silence on Trump indictment
A day after dropping the historic first-ever federal indictment of a former president, the typically tight-lipped prosecutor made the extremely rare decision to deliver a public statement on camera not long after the indictment was unsealed. His brief statement left no doubt about the strength of his case and punctuated the grave consequences the disgraced ex-President faces.

VIDEO OF THE DAY: Democrats score MASSIVE surprise victory over GOP voter suppression
Mark Elias of Democracy Dockett, the voting rights organization behind the successful defense of President Biden's 2020 victory in 63 of 64 lawsuits, joins Brian Tyler Cohen to discuss their monumentous win at the Supreme Court, which ruled that new Alabama redistricting maps that limit African Americans to one majority district violated the Voting Rights Act.

McCarthy’s fractured leadership team faces new abortion tension
Continuing this week's running theme of "Republicans in Disarray!" is the latest scuffle in GOP leadership over a move by right-wing radicals to further tighten already heinous abortion restrictions with a floor vote next week. "Centrist" Republicans, acutely aware that their party is hemorrhaging support nationwide on the abortion issue, are none-to-pleased about this.

House reopens drugs and underage sex trafficking probe into Matt Gaetz
Matt Gaetz is in so much hot water (again) that his own party is looking into it; he's been accused of a smorgasbord of scumbag behavior, including sexual misconduct, sharing inappropriate images or videos on the House floor, misusing state identification records, converting campaign funds to personal use, and accepting bribes or improper gifts. Picture us making our "pretending to be shocked face."

GOP turns homophobic rage on Cracker Barrel restaurants for going "woke"
America, we deeply regret to inform you...that Cracker Barrel has fallen. First it was Bud Light, then it was Chick-fil-A, but now a beloved red state franchise has committed the unforgivable crimes of sponsoring rainbow-painted park benches at a Pride festival and releasing a statement entitled “Everyone feels at home: Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging at Cracker Barrel.” Oh, the humanity!

Chevron hit with $63 million verdict over California toxic pit coverup
A Santa Barbara County Jury ruled that the oil giant covered up – literally and figuratively – a toxic chemical pit that left a man who purchased the property with terminal blood cancer. While not nothing, $63 million is still a drop in the ocean for a company that earned $35.5 billion in 2022 alone.
Makers of “forever chemicals” hid their products' dangers for decades
A new study finds that manufacturers of dangerous per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, took a page out of Big Tobacco's playbook, suppressing their own research and running disinformation to fight lawsuits and forestall regulations while allowing millions of Americans to be exposed to microplastics that caused decreased fertility and several kinds of cancers. It'll cost $400 billion to clean up the plastics out of the nation's drinking water — and these companies, like DuPont and 3M, have never seen a single consequence for poisoning the entire country.
Gavin Newsom drops receipts for Kevin McCarthy in epic Twitter takedown
In an ongoing feud over gun safety, the Golden State governor lashed out at the Speaker of the House for failing to address the spiraling murder epidemic in his Bakersfield, California area district. “Hey Kevin, what we need is you to own up to the fact that you represent a district with the highest murder rate in our state ― and you’re doing nothing..."
