Dear john,

The PACT Act expanded access to health care, screenings, and assistance for veterans and surviving families impacted by toxic exposures. I was proud to support this bill and am pleased that President Biden signed it into law last year. To help spread the word about the many benefits of this historic legislation, I am teaming up with Gwinnett County Commissioner Jasper Watkins to present a briefing on the PACT Act. To register, click here or on the image below (please note that this event is intended for Seventh District veterans and their families).

This week, I was proud to announce another federal investment right here in our community. On Monday, I shared news that Gwinnett County will receive up to $888,000 from the Department of Transportation Federal Railroad Administration to conduct a feasibility study for railroad crossing elimination at three locations in the county. This will provide needed insights to make our community safer, and I am so pleased that this money is coming back home to our district! To learn more, see this press release from my office.

In Washington, our work to end gun violence continues. This week, I was very proud to become the lead sponsor for the Assault Weapons Ban. Our community is made less safe by unchecked access to weapons of war. As the champion for this commonsense legislation, I will continue our fight to save lives.
