John, Boris Johnson should have resigned a long time ago.

But he has finally left in disgrace, lacking integrity until the bitter end.

There will now be a by-election in Uxbridge & South Ruislip.

Along with the by-election in Mid-Bedfordshire announced yesterday, we now have two chances to send a very clear message to Rishi Sunak.

There are thousands of people in both these constituencies who will never vote Labour.

Sunak needs a win now more than ever and he will throw everything at it to avoid further embarrassment.

We cannot let that happen.
