Despite vile protests from the abortion lobby, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis pledged that he will sign legislation ensuring parents have the right to protect and support their young daughters by requiring parental consent for minors seeking abortions. |
Two members of the SBA List’s National Pro-Life Women’s Caucus, Senator Stargel and Representative Grall, championed this legislation. |
The abortion lobby and Planned Parenthood will now undoubtedly seek retaliation following this victory for pro-life Florida parents, vulnerable young girls and their babies. |
In Florida, a young girl needs a parent or guardian’s approval before she gets a tattoo, but before this bill, she could undergo an invasive, often dangerous procedure without any input from mom or dad. |
This legislation was just common sense. But that common sense was lost on Planned Parenthood’s members who protested this bill and hurled insults at our own caucus member, Senator Stargel, for helping to champion it. |
Protesters chanted, “Our lives, our voice!” |
But the reality is that it’s not just their lives and their voice. |
There is a living person growing inside them who has every right in the world to live and to have a voice. What’s more, the predatory abortion industry does not have the best interest of these young mothers at heart. |
By signing this bill into law, Governor DeSantis will be protecting young girls and giving a voice to that innocent child who has been targeted by Planned Parenthood. |
