New Report: School Enrollment in the United States: 2021 [ [link removed] ]
Our new report on school enrollment shows college enrollment has continued to decline, with 21.1 million students enrolled in 2021, compared to 21.7 million in 2019 and 23.7 million in 2011.

America Counts - Home Alone: More Than A Quarter of All Households Have One Person [ [link removed] ]
Over a quarter (27.6%) of all U.S. occupied households were one-person households in 2020, up from just 7.7% in 1940, according to recently released 2020 Census data.
The share of people living alone increased every decade from 1940 to 2020. The largest increase happened between 1970 and 1980, when the share increased from 17.6% to 22.7%.

More people moved across state lines in 2021 than in 2019, many to and from highly populated and neighboring states, according to U.S. Census Bureau estimates released on June 8.
Nearly 7.9 million people in the United States moved between states in 2021, up from almost 7.4 million in 2019.
