Democrat Eric Swalwell represents California's 14th Congressional District. 

I wanted to catch you before the weekend, friend.

Earlier this week, President Biden signed the Fiscal Responsibility Act of 2023 into law. 

We got to this point because my colleagues and I took a critical vote to lift America’s debt ceiling. Meanwhile, my MAGA colleagues sat on the sidelines as they openly admitted they were willing to let America default on its debt — for the first time ever.

Then there is Marjorie Taylor Greene. Congresswoman Greene openly admitted she was ONLY voting to rightly pay America’s bills because she would get “dessert” out of this “sh*t sandwich” piece of legislation. 

Look, MAGA Republicans don’t like when I call out their own because they get exposed like Marjorie Taylor Greene. MTG should have just as well joined her other MAGA colleagues and their extreme policy stance on the debt ceiling.

Instead, she wanted a taste of dessert from a sh*t sandwich. In other words, she only voted to do the right thing because of special interests and to catch another headline — a typical clown move from the GOP.

Not only will I always do what’s best for Americans, but I will always call out MAGA Republicans who only vote to get served up dessert from “sh*t sandwiches.”
