President Biden got Kevin McCarthy to take cuts to Social Security and Medicare “off the table.” Now, McCarthy's changed his mind.

McCarthy made it clear in an interview that he's not done looking at budget cuts. And he's trying to put together a commission to slash more programs — with Social Security and Medicare right back at the top of the chopping block.

This is just another sly attempt by Republicans to try and cut essential, life-saving programs and pull the rug out from under the American people. Millions of hardworking people, for decades , have relied on these programs to retire with dignity. The people have stated it loud and clear: "HANDS OFF SOCIAL SECURITY!"
