Less than an hour after being indicted on 7 federal charges yesterday, Trump sent out a fundraising email.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy released a statement last night defending Trump and promising that ‘House Republicans will hold this brazen weaponization of power accountable.’ Republican leaders have made it clear — they are going to do whatever is necessary to protect Donald Trump.
