At Sister District, we’re continuing the fight to elect progressives running in the tightest state legislative races that have the highest impact.
Right now, we’re backing four brilliant candidates in must-win races who will fight to keep abortion safe and legal in Virginia: Danica Roem, Michael Feggans, Schuyler VanValkenburg, and Joshua Cole.
But state legislative candidates are often overlooked and underfunded, so we’re counting on folks like you to help our progressive champions build national support and momentum. Can you add your name to endorse our candidates in Virginia?
Democrats can only afford to lose one seat to keep their Senate majority in Virginia and are only three seats away from flipping the House of Delegates.
Meanwhile, MAGA Republican Gov. Glenn Youngkin has pursued policies and endorsed candidates that have rolled back protections for LGBTQ+ students, opposed marriage equality, and openly supported anti-abortion extremists and election deniers. And he’s promised to push for a 15-week abortion ban if the GOP wins total control of the state legislature.
We can’t let that happen, John.
Our four progressive champions are running on a people-first platform to protect abortion access and more — including defending our democracy, protecting LGBTQ+ rights, and combating the climate crisis with the level of urgency it demands.
