Satisfying? Good.
We’ll leave the legal prognostications to the experts, but here are a couple of things we do know:
1. The MAGA movement won’t be defeated in the courtroom alone.
After years of Trump seemingly escaping accountability for any action, no matter how awful, every step toward justice is a breath of fresh air. But this is bigger than one person.
From the Republican presidential nominee—whoever that ends up being—to the thousands of extremists in local offices enforcing hateful policies across the country, we need to win this fight at the ballot box.
No judge, prosecutor, or special counsel will do that work for us. It’s on us.
