"Trump vowed to not cut Social Security and Medicare -- hours before proposing just that"
Vox, Feb 10, 2020

John,

Over the weekend, President Trump promised that his 2021 fiscal budget would not touch Social Security and Medicare. But just two days later, the White House's new proposed budget included steep cuts to the social-safety-net programs millions of Americans rely on.

With each paycheck, hard-working Americans pay into entitlement programs like Medicaid, Social Security, and Medicare with the assurance that their money will be available if or when they need it -- but with Donald Trump and his allies in power, nothing's guaranteed.

We need to keep our promises. If you agree that we shouldn't be slashing Social Security and Medicare, add your name now to stand with Kim.

This isn't the first time Trump promised one thing, and did another. Throughout his campaign, he vowed not to cut Social Security and Medicare, but time and again, his budgets have had massive reductions in funding all while he continues to employ Republican Party officials who are set on trying to gut these programs.

In Congress, Kim is fighting to protect the programs the families of WA-08 rely on, and she won't support any budget that slashes Social Security and Medicare. But if we're going to have what it takes to fight back against this proposed budget, she needs to know you have her back.

Add your name to stand with Kim and reject Trump's proposed budget cuts to Social Security and Medicare.
