Friend,
Whether you ride the bus every day, once in a
while, or only a few times a year, big changes are coming. That's
because WMATA's redesigning our Metrobus system for the first time in
its 50-year history. That's a big deal, and it's good news -- the
District's neighborhoods have changed a lot in the past 50 years, and
we need a bus network ready for both today and tomorrow.
I want to know what you would change, you like (that's important
too!), and any other ideas you have.
The proposed "Better
Bus Network" plan includes modified and new routes, upgraded
facilities, additional bus lanes, and more. It's worth the time to
take a look, as it's more than likely your regular routes and trips
will be impacted (you can see exactly how here
with WMATA's trip planner).
Before the comment period closes later this month, I'll be
providing feedback to WMATA. And I want to hear what you think about
the plan to inform that feedback — so join me next week
to discuss the proposed changes to Ward 6 bus routes, ask questions,
and comment on the plans. RSVP
here.
