John, I thought you’d like to hear an update on Republicans’ plan to censure me and potentially fine me $16 million in a House resolution.
After the MAGA Republican who introduced the resolution went on Steve Bannon’s podcast to announce the vote to censure me would be happening this week, their plan was put on hold when MAGA Republicans rebelled against the debt ceiling agreement and halted all action on the floor for the week. Of course that didn’t stop the resolution’s author from using it to position herself to become the next Marjorie Taylor Greene.
Seriously, check out this image from a fundraising email sent by the resolution’s sponsor, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna of Florida’s campaign:
That’s right — her campaign is riling up the MAGA base by using me as their Public Enemy No. 1.
Why?
Because no one in Congress has been more effective than I have at holding her dear leader Donald Trump accountable for his multiple, egregious abuses of power.
I did it as Chair of the House Intelligence Committee. I did it as the lead manager of Trump’s first presidential impeachment. And I did it again as a member of the January 6th Committee investigating the insurrection he incited on us at the Capitol.
And I will continue to protect our democracy as California’s next Senator.
If you’re as sick and tired as I am of MAGA Republicans’ dangerous political games, please chip in $10 to help me fight back and win this Senate race.

Republicans in the House majority have abused their position of power in order to motivate their extreme MAGA supporters — while the real issues the American people are facing go unaddressed.
Folks across the East Coast this week are learning the horror we routinely experience in California, with wildfires burning thousands of acres, clouding cities from Boston to DC in smog, and intensifying the climate crisis.
I met with families in San Joaquin last week that have polluted water the color of charcoal coming out of their faucet taps — right in Kevin McCarthy’s backyard. And he isn’t lifting a finger to do anything about it.
These are the kinds of issues we need to be addressing. Instead, MAGA Republicans decide to come after me over, and over, and over again.
They gum up the works of Congress and can’t even get their $#!+ together to bring it to a vote. But boy, does it excite their MAGA base.
The vote to censure me will now likely come up next week, and I’m going to need your help to fight back — no matter how that vote goes. So before you go, I’d really appreciate it if you could chip in a few bucks to support our campaign.
Thanks for reading. More soon.
Adam
