In 2019, Brianna made history as the first transgender person elected to the Colorado State Assembly. A geologist and IT professional by trade, Brianna has served her community her entire life, from volunteer firefighting to serving as HOA President – and now she’s inspiring others as a leader in the Democratic Party.
Her fiery spirit for progressive policy is well reflected in her tenure as a representative. But Brianna’s win wasn’t easy. She won by the slimmest of slim margins: just over 400 votes. Those 400 votes stood between maintaining the status quo and literally making history.
