June is Great Outdoors Month, a time to celebrate our amazing national parks, wildlife refuges, forests, monuments, marine sanctuaries, and more.
Our nation has so much natural beauty to explore, especially right here in Washington State – Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually National Wildlife Refuge, Rainier National Park, and Puget Sound, just to name a few.
As the South Sound’s voice in Congress, I am committed to advocating for our region’s parks, trails, and natural beauty. That’s why I was proud to receive a Trail Award from ForeverGreen Trails for securing funding for projects like the Sheffield Trail in Fife.
The great outdoors is an opportunity to step away from the chaos of life and appreciate the world around us.
I hope you’ll join me this month in taking the time to get outdoors and see the beauties our country has to offer.
Enjoy the outdoors!
