In case you missed it, the latest Trump budget is absolutely shocking, even by this administration’s standards. As per The New York Times, the budget contains “deep cuts to student loan assistance, affordable housing efforts, food stamps and Medicaid,” while boosting military spending significantly, “including $3.2 billion — a $459 million increase — to help develop a high-speed weapon capable of evading missile defense systems and $18 billion for the newly established Space Force.” Words can’t fully communicate how grotesque this all is.

Plain and simple, our movement represents the complete opposite vision for our country. We need to divest billions of dollars out of the military-industrial complex and into the social programs that protect our country’s most vulnerable. Since launching our campaign, we’ve stood firmly on this principle, and it fuels every aspect of our platform.
