It’s exhausting to keep trying to stick up for this guy!
Friend,
Our favorite ultra-conservative, Trump-loving, disgraced AG Ken Paxton is all over the news right now — guess you tend to make headlines when your own party impeaches you!
Sure, he’s making national headlines because a Republican-controlled Texas House impeached him on charges of bribery, misapplication of public resources, false statements in official records, obstruction of justice, and more…but all press is good press, right Ken?!
We’d like to add that these charges aren’t even the first time Ken’s been in hot water (it keeps him on his toes). In 2015, he was indicted for securities fraud for misleading investors for his own gain. And the latest “good news” that he’s dealing with involves a rich real estate developer who was just arrested in Texas – raising even more questions about Ken’s “great” work.
All of this makes a pretty clear case: Ken is a stand-up guy to the constituents who elected him his wealthy and well-connected friends (who happen to donate a bunch of money to his campaigns).
Look, just because Ken wants Texas taxpayers to pay the whistleblowers a $3.3 million settlement and regularly puts political allies before the people of Texas doesn’t mean he’s unfit for office and deserves to be impeached.
Okay, okay, okay. We can’t do it anymore. It’s exhausting writing about a guy who’s been abusing the power of his office. With a slew of accusations, lawsuits, indictments, and now this impeachment? We know Texas deserves better than a corrupt AG who puts his wealthy donors over the people of Texas.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and we can't stop now – will you chip in today?
