Congressman Kim’s week began in Washington with conversations about strategic global competition and strengthening our democracy before he headed home to New Jersey yesterday. He looks forward to joining community members today to talk about uplifting local families as well as at a Juneteenth celebration in Mt. Holly.

Congressman Kim Speaks With Korean American Association of the USA

On Monday, Congressman Kim joined the Korean American Association of the USA’s reception in Washington. He spoke about the importance of staying involved in the legislative process, representing the district where he grew up, and encouraging the next generation of Americans to stay engaged in civics.

On Tuesday morning, Congressman Kim spoke at Brookings Institution about his work on the House Select Committee on Strategic Competition between the U.S. and the Chinese Communist Party and taking a comprehensive approach to strategic economic and geopolitical competition.

Care Packages for Military Serving Overseas

Yesterday, Congressman Kim stopped by the USO’s event to assemble 2,000 care packages for deployed military servicemembers. It’s a warm gesture to show our appreciation for their bravery and service!

Connecting Local Police to Federal Grant Opportunities

Our office worked with Mercer County police this morning and Rowan University to cover how to best access available grant opportunities! Together we can make sure our officers and local departments have the resources they need to stay safe and keep others safe.

If your organization or nonprofit is applying for a federal grant, our office has a dedicated Grants Director who is available to submit a letter of support on your behalf, connect you with a federal grant liaison to answer application questions, obtain feedback about a previously denied grant to strengthen your next application, or work with congressional liaisons to research potential federal grant opportunities. A Stocks Spotlight

Congressman Kim is committed to restoring Americans’ trust in our government and strengthening our democracy through legislation like his Restoring Trust in Public Servants Act, a bill that would set one standard across all three branches of the federal government – including Congress, the President, Vice President, and the Supreme Court– to prohibit ownership of individual stocks.

Last month, he joined colleagues to speak about the importance of banning congressional stock trading.

Constituent Service Success in May

We are proud to share that this May our office returned $479,338 and closed 351 cases for our Burlington, Mercer, and Monmouth communities.

UPCOMING: Military Service Academy Info Day

Congressman Kim invites local freshmen, sophomores, and juniors to a Military Service Academy Information Day on June 17th in Hightstown to learn more about the service academy nomination process, important dates, and the academies themselves.

Our office will be joined by representatives from all five of our nation’s service academies, including R.O.T.C.
