In a testament to the rule of law, Donald Trump has been indicted over his (mis)handling of classified files once he was out of office.

Trump can now claim the “distinction” of being the first former president in U.S. history to be brought up on federal charges. (We know how much he likes to feel special.)

For the sake of our democracy, Trump must ALSO be held accountable for any crimes he committed in attempting to remain in power despite losing the 2020 election.

For the sake of our democracy itself, Donald Trump must — without undue delay — be indicted and prosecuted to the full extent of the law for any and all crimes he committed on and leading up to his attempted coup on January 6, 2021.
