Service member working in Guam after Typhoon Mawar
 RAPID-RESPONSE

 GOAL: $20,000

 DEADLINE:

 MIDNIGHT TONIGHT

DONATE NOW

Two weeks ago, Super Typhoon Mawar made landfall on the U.S. territory of Guam, bringing winds of at least 150 mph, more than 2 feet of torrential rainfall, a dangerous storm surge, and knocking out power across much of the island.

Typhoon Mawar is the strongest storm to hit the island in 21 years, and the destruction is widespread.

As U.S. Navy, Coast Guard and National Guard service members work to restore local communities and ensure their safety, the USO urgently needs to ramp up our efforts to support our service members. But as a nonprofit organization, we’re counting on your support to help restock the resources and supplies needed to support our troops at this critical moment.

So today, we’re urgently asking: Will you make a donation of $29 or more to help reach our $20,000 email goal by midnight and support our heroes in uniform in Guam and around the world?*

Although USO employees are still navigating damage to their own homes in Guam, they quickly sprang into action to reopen USO centers and support service members when they were needed. USO centers are providing air conditioning, Wi-Fi connectivity and phones to call home, as well as snacks, water and coffee.

These basic necessities are critical in a disaster zone — and we’re counting on you to help us continue to be there for our service members and the community throughout this long and difficult recovery process. Please donate $29 or more before midnight tonight to provide critical resources and support to service members around the world.

Thank you for stepping up at this critical moment.
