Former President Donald Trump was officially indicted in the classified documents case.

According to two people close to the matter, Trump faces seven federal charges, including willfully retaining national defense secrets in violation of the Espionage Act, making false statements, and a conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Trump is expected to surrender to authorities on Tuesday and plead guilty.
