John,
For the fourth time under his administration, Donald Trump's White House released a budget calling for massive cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. Yet Trump is loudly declaring that he won't cut those vital programs--and members of the media are taking him at his word instead of reading the budget document he actually released.
We're fighting back! Chip in $6 to win against the Trump White House’s war on seniors!

John,
Donald Trump just released his latest Presidential budget.[1] Like every other budget his White House has released, it includes massive cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
This one is different: Trump has been explicitly lying to the American people, claiming in his State of the Union address and elsewhere that he will never cut Social Security and Medicare.
And this is on top of Trump’s proposed regulations that will kick hundreds of thousands of people off of Social Security and even more off of Medicaid!
Most people won’t take the time to read through the thousand-page budget and will believe the White House tweets and press releases that falsely say that there will be no cuts. That’s why our work together is so important.
Chip in $6 to fight back against the Trump White House’s war on seniors!
The record is clear:
-
Donald Trump has proposed trillions of dollars in cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid throughout his presidency.
-
Trump spent his first year in office pushing through Trumpcare, which would have devastated Medicare and destroyed Medicaid.
-
Just last month, Trump told the plutocrats in Davos that he would take on spending in Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid to address the hole in the deficit caused by his tax scam.
-
A few tweets promising “no cuts” are just words. Trump’s actions tell a very different story.
Social Security Works is launching a campaign to make sure voters know the real story about Trump’s record. Chip in to fuel our campaign!
At a time when our Social Security system has a $2.9 trillion surplus, and 10,000 Americans turn 65 every day, we should NOT be cutting Social Security or Medicare. If the wealthiest Americans would finally pay their fair share, we could EXPAND these programs.
Thank you,
Alex Lawson
