My Sisters and Brothers,

This Pride Month, we joyously celebrate the dynamic, diverse, and cherished LGBTQ+ communities across Wisconsin and America. And I am proud to continue the treasured tradition of marching in Pride parades!

But while we revel in our accomplishments, let us not forget that we must persist in our call for action.

So far this year alone, over 520 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been introduced nationwide, including more than 220 bills that specifically target the rights of the transgender community, including our friends and family members. Such an outrageous wave of discrimination reminds us of the imperative to guarantee equal rights and protections for everyone.

Therefore, we must fight harder and louder for equality and justice for all members of our LGBTQ+ family – not just in Congress, but in every community across the nation. Chip in to help me keep up the fight!

She served in the Wisconsin State Senate from 1993-2004. Before her election to the Senate, Congresswoman Moore served two consecutive terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1989-92.
