Our second annual summer photo contest is up and running! We want you to submit YOUR original photographs that celebrate the people, places, and wildlife you're most passionate about protecting.
We’re looking for quality photos to feature on our website and in our newsletters. The winning image will be spotlighted in the upcoming September 2023 issue of Population Connection magazine. The contest closes on World Population Day, which is Tuesday, July 11 th .

Women for Conservation helps protect the unique biodiversity of rural Colombia by empowering women through family planning services, conservation education, and sustainable livelihoods training. The organization was founded in 2019 by Sara Inés Lara to involve rural communities in habitat conservation around critically endangered wildlife reserves.
Join us on Wednesday, June 28 th , at 4:00 pm ET/1:00 pm PT for a presentation by Vice President & Conservation Director Isabella Cortes and Emily Knudson, Director of Outreach & Philanthropy. They'll discuss recent successes by the organization, made possible by the support of Population Connection's Global Partner's program.

Announcing the Winners of the World of 8 Billion Student Video Contest!

Last month, our Population Education program announced the winners of the 12th annual World of 8 Billion student video contest! More than 4,800 students in grades 6-12 from 45 countries and 47 U.S. states and territories sent in entries.
This year’s contest asked middle and high school students to submit a 1-minute video about how population growth impacts one of the following global challenges: climate change, gender equality, or waste. Each video also needed to share a sustainable solution to the global challenge introduced.
