At the beginning of the 118th Congress, I spoke about how conducting vigorous and sustained oversight on all fronts is one of my top priorities – and I remain undeterred in upholding that commitment. As a member of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, I take this commitment very seriously. As part of the committee’s ongoing work, we are holding FBI Director Christopher Wray accountable for his stonewalling in response to our requests for unclassified documents related to whistleblower disclosures that Joe Biden may have been involved in a criminal bribery scheme when he was serving as Vice President. This issue should not be swept under the rug and forgotten about.
Even after being issued a subpoena by Chairman Comer to turn over these documents, the FBI turned to using obstructionist tactics and failed to comply in a timely manner. What exactly is the FBI hiding from Congress, and especially the American people? What does this tell us about the current operational posture within the agency? I, for one, believe that these questions should be answered immediately.
For the past year, the Oversight Committee has been investigating the Biden family’s schemes to enrich themselves. In my May 19th newsletter, I spoke at length about what we’ve uncovered thus far in this process. One notable piece of information that we have brought to light was how members of the Biden family received over $1 million split between 15 incremental payments from a Chinese company via a third party. What other facts are being hidden from view?
On Wednesday, Chairman Comer announced that the FBI caved under immense pressure, thanks to our efforts, and will now be allowing members of the committee to review the Biden bribery record. This is a monumental development. Simply put, the American people have lost trust in the FBI’s ability to enforce the law impartially. I’m standing firm alongside my colleagues in demanding full accountability and transparency from the agency - anything less is unacceptable.
More Oversight
Conducting oversight of the Executive Branch is one of the most important functions of Congress. In line with upholding that responsibility, on Wednesday, the House Committee on Education and the Workforce held a hearing to examine the policies and priorities of the Department of Labor. The Department touches the lives of every American, and as such, rigorous oversight should be applied every time it moves a muscle. Doing so exposes bureaucratic bloat and upholds the level of accountability that the American people demand.

My Latest Interview
Recently, I joined the WallBuilders Podcast, hosted by David Barton, Rick Green, and Tim Barton, to discuss how America’s history and our founding documents are being attacked by cabals of far-left professors at colleges and universities across the nation. These attacks are metastasizing like cancer. Since when did the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Emancipation Proclamation, Gettysburg Address, and other sacred documents become verboten? They should be celebrated, cherished, and taught to every student – not cast aside.
