It's my birthday today. I'm spending it advocating for our state's kids, holding a town hall in St. Louis County tonight, and hopefully going to the gym with my sister.
Yesterday, the Missouri House of Representatives finally held a hearing on our state's children losing health care coverage under Medicaid. I've been working on this issue with legislators for many months.
Our government tried to cover up what they were doing to our children. They removed the expert who oversaw Medicaid when he blew the whistle. They told the press that the economy was doing great and our children didn't need Medicaid anymore. They ignored the hearings Missouri's House Democrats held with families and service providers.
Finally, after many months of our most vulnerable children losing health care, the government admitted its mistake. But instead of taking responsibility to fix it, our government blamed parents and will not commit to doing anything to reach out to the affected families.

Our Kids Need a Fighter

This is what happens when no one holds our government accountable.
Our kids need a fighter, and that's what they'll get when we win this race.
Yesterday, we launched a big goal for this month: 500 donations. If we're going to take back the Attorney General's Office and protect our kids, we've got to go to work.
Every dollar helps and, more importantly, every person matters. That's where the power of this campaign comes from.
