When Jamie Dimon came to Capitol Hill in 2019, I questioned him about the
massive pay disparity between him and his bank's lowest wage workers. When
I did the math, there was no way a single person here in Southern
California could survive on the starting salary. I asked him about it, and
while he made $31 million, he couldn’t tell me how he would recommend his
bank tellers make ends meet.
Wall Street has enjoyed a close relationship with lawmakers for decades.
And in exchange for campaign contributions, too many politicians have been
all too eager to let Big Banks “regulate themselves,” take advantage of
consumers, and make astronomical profits while paying little in taxes.
I’m one of just a few lawmakers who doesn’t accept a dime from Big Bank
CEOs like Jamie Dimon. I’ll always stand up to Wall Street and executives
who think they can cheat taxpayers, employees, and customers.
I’m running for the U.S. Senate to hold Wall Street accountable and our
campaign is powered by the working people I’m running to represent. [ [link removed] ]Can
