Hey friend!

I just finished my first week as Communications Director at the Iowa Democratic Party, and what a week it’s already been.

A little about me:

I grew up in Algona and studied journalism at Iowa State University (go Cyclones!)
I spent nearly a decade working for various newspapers in western Iowa
I covered the 2020 Iowa Caucuses with the Iowa Starting Line team
I served as communications director for former Rep. Cindy Axne (IA-03)

Chair Hart has been very vocal about the need for a strong communications team at the IDP that will broadcast a unifying message about Iowa Democratic values and priorities while also holding Republicans accountable for the harm they've caused to our friends and neighbors. I'm excited to help our county parties and candidates – and with 99+ I've definitely got my work cut out for me!
