Last month, my opponent for the Republican nomination for Governor announced his candidacy (again). What he left out is that he’s probably running in the wrong party.

While Jefferson City insiders are betting on him to continue the Big Government Spending Spree that nearly doubled our state budget in just five years, from $28 billion to $51 billion, they are going to have to get through me and you first!

• My opponent voted twice to allow China to buy Missouri farmland, even voting to override the Governor’s veto of the legislation!

• My opponent authored legislation to raise the sales tax by 25% ($8 billion).

• My opponent voted to raise the gas tax four times by as much as 12.5¢ per gallon!

• My opponent has voted to give hundreds of millions of your tax dollars to campaign donors and special interests.

We have a name for politicians like that: Democrat.

I’m running for Governor because I am a conservative who cares about our country and our state. I am as frustrated as you are that conservatives in Florida, Texas, Tennessee, even Indiana and Arkansas, are leading the way, but we can’t get out of our own way here in Missouri.

I am not running for Governor to keep the same go-along, get-along back-slapping approach to government that doubled our spending and made it easier for China, Iran, Russia, Venezuela, and North Korea to buy and occupy our land.

But I’m running against a mega-rich establishment “Republican” who has the backing of every lobbyist and special interest in Jefferson City. He’s already raised more than $4 million and the election is still 14 months away!

I’m not a politician, I’m an engineer. I’ve spent my life fixing problems, making things work, and getting things done.

As Secretary of State, I made voter ID the law, got rid of ballot drop boxes, and ended private funding of elections from left-wing billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg.

I stopped our public libraries from letting children look at pornography, required banks to tell their customers when they are using their money to invest in woke ESG companies, and authored the legislation to ban China and other hostile nations from owning Missouri land.

Katie and I are doing this because we have four children and we worry about their future, even in a Republican state like Missouri. The threats to our way of life are coming from everywhere, even from other Republicans.
