John, Donald Trump is being indicted, again. The US Department of Justice has charged former President Trump with federal crimes associated with his theft of national defense secrets and with obstruction of justice. This is another important step for holding Trump accountable for all of the crimes he has committed. But as important as it is to apply the rule of law to Trump, it is also important to remember this crucial point: This latest indictment, like the one before it from the Manhattan District Attorney, will not keep Trump from continuing his presidential campaign. The only way to keep Trump off the ballot is to enforce Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment (the Insurrectionist Disqualification Clause). By inciting a violent insurrection in an effort to prevent the certification of his own electoral defeat, Trump violated his oath to protect and uphold the Constitution. He is therefore disqualified from appearing on any ballot for holding any public office -- or from future office. Sign if you agree: Trump must be barred from the ballot.
