Earlier this year, Kevin McCarthy said cuts to Social Security and Medicare should be “off the table.” Now, he’s changed his mind.

In a recent interview, McCarthy said Democrats blocked him from slashing Social Security and Medicare during the debt ceiling negotiations – and he wants to create a commission looking into ways to slash these programs.

For decades, Social Security and Medicare have been critical in helping millions of hard-working Americans live and retire with dignity and security. Kim is ready to keep fighting back against attacks on these critical programs, but she needs your help to protect this seat and help take back the majority.
