Urge your Senator and Representative to stop NC Republican lawmakers from silencing voters. » [link removed]
John,
If we have learned anything over the last decade in NC politics, it’s that Republicans will stop at nothing to rig the system to win elections and hold onto power. Their most recent power-grab attempt, SB 747, will further hurt already underserved communities by restricting their right to vote.
But this isn’t the first time NC Republicans have sought to suppress voters.
A decade ago, the Republican majority proposed and passed a similar law, which was eventually struck down as “unconstitutional” by a federal court for targeting Black voters with “surgical precision.” The Republican strategy for circumventing elections has never really gone away.
Help us protect the votes of all North Carolinians. Tell your Senator and House Representative to oppose voter suppression.
