Resources for Parents Teaching Children About Healthy Sexuality and Marriage

By: Jeff Johnston

Just a few decades ago, most parents weren’t thinking, “I better teach my children about marriage.” We would’ve expected them to learn about it by our example, from watching other married couples, and, perhaps, from some teaching at church or during wedding ceremonies.

But given our culture’s assault on this institution — including casual sex, cohabitation, adultery, divorce, and marriage redefinition to include same-sex couples — Christians must be committed to the health of our own marriages and intentional about raising our children to understand and honor God’s design for marriage.

These resources help parents teach their children — at all ages and stages — positive, biblical truths about sexuality and marriage.

There is No Pride in Denying Reality or the Image of God in Humanity

By: Daily Citizen Staff

We are now constantly reminded that June is so-called Pride month and everyone is expected to take note, happily get on the bandwagon and celebrate accordingly. But how can Pride month be starting when last year’s Pride month never really ended? LGBT pride has now gone yearlong, literally 365. The ideology is constantly being forced upon us and our children at regular turns.

Regardless, it must be declared that there is no pride whatsoever in redefining and denying reality. This is precisely what the gender ideology behind Pride month and every presentation of its flag does.

Here is the unavoidable truth: Humanity, across the great diversity of human culture and time, exists as male and female. Those are the only two options. Whenever or wherever you met a person, that person is either male or female, and they were born as such. This is certainly not just a traditional, conservative or Christian ideal. It is a universal truth, an objective biological fact.

It was not long ago that leading progressive French feminist philosopher Sylvaine Agacinski wrote assertively and unapologetically in her book The Parity of the Sexes, “One is born a girl or boy, one becomes woman or man. The human species is divided in two, and, like most other species, in two only. This division, which includes all human beings without exception, is thus a dichotomy. In other words, every individual who is not man is woman. There is no third possibility. … Humankind does not exist outside this double form, masculine and feminine.”

Megyn Kelly, Elon Musk and the Triumph of Reality

By: Paul Batura

The campaign for sanity, reality and common sense welcomed two significant boosters only a few hours apart this past Friday.

First, Twitter’s Elon Musk overrode his own company’s cancellation of Matt Walsh’s “What is a Woman?” documentary, tweeting out a link to the show and stating, “Every parent should watch this.”

Second, SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly delivered a blistering repudiation of trans indoctrination by declaring that it’s “beyond time to stand up to the trans lobby that means to deprive women of their spaces and right.”

Many social and Christian conservatives have been warning about this cultural tsunami of the war on common sense flooding schools, sporting programs and countless other institutions. Advocates have been mocked and maligned, labeled bigots and banned from all of the major social media sites — all for speaking truth and denouncing lies.

So, is the tide finally turning?

It’s far too early to tell, and given all of the institutions seized by radicals determined to upend cultural norms, it’s going to take more than one or two waves to shift the sea. But it’s still heartening, significant — and instructive.

Musk, the founder, CEO and chief engineer of SpaceX and Tesla, as well as the owner of Twitter, carries a big and influential stick. Since its promotion of the film on Friday, “What is a Woman?” has been viewed more than 170 million times. It’s now one of the most successful documentaries of all-time.

Chiefs’ Kicker Harrison Butker’s Pro-Life Message to the White House: Protect Preborn Life

By: Zachary Mettler

On Monday, Kansas City Chiefs’ kicker Harrison Butker joined his teammates for a trip to the White House. The team was honored by the president for their victory in Super Bowl VLII, where the Chiefs won a 38-35 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. Butker, a faithful Catholic, chose to seize his opportunity at the White House to advocate for the most vulnerable: preborn children.

He wore a tie that had the phrase “Vulnerari Praesidio” written in cursive all over it. The words are a Latin phrase that translates to “Protect the most vulnerable.” According to the Daily Signal, the pro-life organization Live Action designed the tie for Butker specifically for his visit to the White House.

Butker “also wore a gold pin replicating the size of a 10-week-old aborted baby’s feet, intended to draw awareness to the many thousands of unborn babies killed through abortion every year.”

Though Live Action custom-made the tie just for Butker, the organization is selling a replica of the “Precious Feet Pin” that he wore. Live Action says that the pin “is the exact size and shape of a 10-week-old preborn baby’s feet.” In a statement following the visit, Butker said that he wanted to use the opportunity to send a powerful message to “the most pro-abortion administration in our nation’s history” and to the world. “I want to give the most vulnerable, the unborn, a voice at a place where every effort has been made to allow and normalize the tragic termination of their lives,” Butker said.

Pregnancy Resource Centers Condemned for the Use of Targeted Advertisements to Reach Abortion-Minded Women

By: Nicole Hunt

In the latest attack on pregnancy resource centers (PRCs), abortion advocates are singling the centers out for condemnation because of their use of targeted advertising to reach abortion-minded women.

That’s right, the same type of targeted advertising that knows when you are on vacation in a different state and communicates details about an amusement park or restaurant in the area you may want to visit.

This type of advertising — based on location — is called geofencing. Advertisers can select a specific region of interest, and individuals who enter that geofence are identified for receiving information in the form of advertisements on their mobile devices.

Advertising to people according to their geographic location is a widespread business practice.

As Business News Daily explains, “Businesses can set up geofences around a competitor and be alerted when a customer enters that area. You can send a push notification with a coupon or an advertisement for your service in their phone’s web browser to try and influence the consumer to choose you over the competition.”

So, if this practice is common, why are PRCs being condemned by abortion activists and their supporters?

The short answer is that abortion sellers don’t want anyone telling women not to buy their abortions.
