I joined the Minnesota Veterans Home - Minneapolis Human Resources team in February 2022 after nine years of providing staffing/full-cycle recruitment at the Minnesota Department of Corrections and over 14+ years in the private sector. As part of the Staffing and Transactions team, I help to support supervisors and managers in attaining their staffing needs.
Some of my earliest memories are of my parent?s military buddies and relatives staying with us while on leave or while receiving medical services in the Twin Cities. Through the years, my commitment to assisting Veterans grew into working for a Veteran-owned business where I helped Veterans find employment. Here at MDVA, I am proud to be part of a team of multiple disciplines working together to support Veterans.
My husband and I enjoy spending time with our four grown children and their significant others. Our different abilities have taught us the importance of helping others to build their skills and abilities to be as self-sufficient and successful as possible. This has carried over into other life experiences such as being a Girl Scout leader, teaching faith formation, coordinating youth sporting and other events, volunteering at nursing homes and being a supervisor. Helping someone turn a possibility into an ability brings me great joy.
