John,
President Trump just released his proposed budget, and despite the enormous price tag of $4.8 TRILLION, it would make deep cuts to Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, food stamps, student loan assistance, affordable housing, and more.
Basically, he’s trying to gut our country’s social safety net -- the safety net that working families, students, the elderly, and millions of people rely on.
While he’s okay with taking help away from families and individuals struggling to make ends meet, pay medical bills, or afford college, he’s perfectly fine throwing more money than ever before at our military, including the ridiculous Space Force and his racist border wall.
A budget tells you a person’s priorities, John, and Trump’s made it clear: we are not his priority. He has shown us time and time again that he doesn’t care about poor people, working class people, immigrants, or people of color in this country.
The only way we stop this man from continuing to push harmful, racist policies on our communities is by voting him and his administration out this November, and replacing them with inclusive, responsive, and accountable leaders who care about us and our issues. Voto Latino is hard at work as we speak registering 1 MILLION voters before Election Day to transform the electorate and bring a new generation to power.
Will you help us keep up our efforts and empower Latinxs to vote by pitching in $10 or more to our Voter Registration Fund today? [[link removed]]
