After a protracted months-long legal battle with Congresswoman Lauren Boebert’s legal team, as of earlier this evening we have successfully filed our defamation suit against Congresswoman Boebert - much to her chagrin it is now a very real possibility that she will face real world legal consequences for her despicable behavior and pathological lying. 

As if it was meant to be, the filing of our suit comes right on the heels of the news that Trump has been indicted again. He will face federal criminal charges. The only thing better than Lauren Boebert being held accountable for her actions will be former President Trump also being held accountable for his actions.

In case you are unfamiliar with our lawsuit, here’s some background: 

In the run up to Election 2022, we began releasing fact based reports on Lauren Boebert's financial misdeeds, criminal past, and improprieties in her personal life which called into question her so-called ‘traditional conservative values’.

Our investigative research soon went viral as the media and concerned voters began to share and amplify our stories. Boebert didn’t take this lightly and went on a right wing media tour appearing on programs like The Sean Hannity Show and Tomi Lahren's fake news show, calling us liars, defaming us by saying that all of our info was fake, and even threatening our donors with an unprecedented lawsuit.

While Boebert’s lawsuit threat never materialized we have now officially filed a defamation suit of our own. 

A taped deposition where she is dishonest will place her in what’s known in legal circles as a perjury trap – this is a criminal infraction with up to a 5 year prison sentence under Colorado law.

This would not have been possible without the support of donors like you. That phrase gets bandied around a lot in these political emails but in our case it is actually true. Boebert’s Team with the support of the Colorado and National GOP tried to stop the filing of our case by attacking it from every angle available, but thanks to the support of thousands of people from Colorado and across the country they were unsuccessful. 

In one instance they thought they could prevent us from filing the suit by waging a pitched battle over the exact dollar figure for the damages the Congresswoman’s defamation caused our PAC. By pursuing this they hoped they could bog us down past the statute of limitations which runs out at the end of this June. However, thanks to the massive outpouring of support from people like yourself that heeded our calls we were able to hire a legal consultant specializing in assessing damages for defamation cases which stopped Boebert’s legal team in its tracks. 

We have a long fight ahead of us and it’s not going to be easy but we are now one important step closer to making her face real world consequences (maybe even jail time) for her lies.

Obtaining a guilty verdict for Boebert will mean thousands more man-hours, public relations work, hiring CO-based private investigators, and bulking up our legal team to handle the impending legal onslaught Boebert and the GOP will throw at us.
