The election is only three weeks away and we need to return Steve Hansen to the Sacramento City Council. He is a proven leader who knows what it takes to get things done. Over the last seven years, Steve has delivered real results for communities that are too often left behind. His achievements include:

• Pushing through an agreement that established just-cause protections and anti-rent gauging provisions to provide renters and people on the brink of homelessness the stability and security they need.  
• Opening the first LGBTQ Homeless Shelter in Midtown and a homeless triage Center at the  Capitol Park Hotel. He has successfully advocated for investing in rehousing centers with quality, wrap-around services and expanded the number of public restrooms available downtown.
• Advocating for passage of Measure U – which led to millions of dollars being allocated to the Land Park amphitheater, Fairy Tale Town and other improvements and the maintenance of Land Park.
• Championing investments in community art centers – the Clara, the Sofia, the Verge and the Warehouse Artist Lofts. He led the transformation of the community center theatre, Memorial Auditorium, and Convention Center, creating a new cultural hub for our city.
• Helping establish new resources to build quality affordable housing units throughout Sacramento.
