Donald Trump federally INDICTED for obstructing justice and willful retention of national defense information
Donald Trump has already been indicted once for his efforts to keep voters in the dark about his affairs in advance of the 2016 election. This indictment is an even bigger deal.
Former presidents cannot knowingly keep classified documents in their home rather than turning them over to the National Archives. That’s the law, and it’s not complicated. But not only did Donald Trump not respect the basic obligation to keep those records safe, he actively worked to undermine the very investigation that just led to his indictment today.
Donald Trump compromised the security of the United States and put his own interests ahead of keeping Americans safe.
This indictment means Trump’s efforts to escape justice have failed, but he has already said he’s still running for president even though he’s been indicted, and even if he is convicted.
Here at CREW, we’re doing everything in our power to hold Trump accountable.
Today’s indictment is a step in the right direction, but the work isn’t done yet. In fact, we have to fight harder now than ever to finish the job, and hold Trump accountable for his crimes. Donate to CREW today to help us get the job done →

Convicting Donald Trump of these crimes may not be easy—even though the evidence appears to be overwhelming.
That’s why CREW’s work is so important.
At CREW, we’ll keep helping to build the case and calling for accountability, for as long as it takes. During Trump’s presidency, we took thousands of legal actions to demand transparency from Trump’s administration and to hold him to the law.
We’ve been in this fight for a long time, and we’re not backing down anytime soon.
We are grateful to have you with us as we take on this work. If you can, please donate to CREW and help us keep up our work to hold Trump, and anyone who violates the law, accountable →
Thanks,
CREW
